Granting Camera Permissions
This article explains how to grant camera permissions to the ACV Pro app.
Steps:
- Open the ACV Pro app.
- When prompted to allow camera access, tap "Allow".
- If the prompt does not appear, follow the steps for iOS or Android respectively
- If permissions are granted, please continue to troubleshooting for iOS or Android respectively
Note: Camera access is required for scanning VINs and taking inspection photos.
How to Enable Camera Access iOS
- Open Settings: Tap on the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll Down and Tap on the ACV Pro App: Scroll down to find the ACV Pro app in the list of apps and tap on it.
- Tap on "Camera": Tap on the "Camera" option.
- Select "While Using the App": Choose the option "While Using the App" to grant camera access only when you are actively using the ACV Pro app.
- Return to ACV Pro: Press the Home button to return to the Home screen, and then launch the ACV Pro app.
How to Enable Camera Access Android
- Open Settings: Open the Settings app on your Android device.
- Tap on Apps: Scroll down and tap on "Apps" or "Apps & notifications", depending on your device.
- Find and Select ACV Pro: Scroll through the list of apps to find ACV Pro, then tap on it.
- Tap on Permissions: Tap on "Permissions".
- Toggle Camera Permission On: Tap on "Camera" and toggle the switch to enable camera access.
- Return to ACV Pro: Press the Back button to return to the previous screen, and then launch the ACV Pro app.
Troubleshooting Common Camera Permission Issues
iOS
Issue: Camera Permission Prompt Does Not Appear
- Check Settings: Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
- Enable Access: Make sure camera access is enabled for ACV Pro.
- Restart App: Force close ACV Pro and reopen it.
Issue: Camera Not Working in ACV Pro
- Restart the Device: Restart your iPhone.
- Update iOS: Make sure your iOS is up to date.
- Reinstall ACV Pro: Delete ACV Pro, reinstall it from the App Store, and grant camera access.
Android
Issue: Camera Permission Not Granted
- Check Settings: Go to Settings > Apps > ACV Pro > Permissions.
- Enable Camera Permission: Make sure camera permission is enabled.
- Restart ACV Pro: Force close ACV Pro and reopen it.
Issue: Camera Not Working Properly
- Restart the Device: Restart your Android device.
- Check App Updates: Make sure ACV Pro is updated to the latest version.
- Clear Cache: Go to Settings > Apps > ACV Pro > Storage > Clear Cache.
